Getting Started:

• The program downloads but will not register.

The Audio and Speech Setup:

• My computer is not recognizing the microphone.

Hardware:

Very Important:  Settings are Essential: 

The CORRECT XP Speech | Audio Settings and Windows 7 Speech | Audio Settings will solve the following recording errors: 

• "PerioPal jumps around"  (audio > volume settings too high)
• "PerioPal records a random number and I haven't said anything"  (audio > volume settings too high)
• "PerioPal records a random entry and I haven't said anything"  (Check your headset placement)

• "The Program does not respond to my commands"  (speech settings > Background Adaptation Box)
• "It responds to some of my commands but not all of my commands" (speech settings or more voice training)
• "When I say '3', nothing happens.  All other commands work."  (speech settings or more voice training)

• "I can hear PerioPal but it doesn't hear me" (speech settings > Audio Input)
• "NO SOUND"  (speech settings > Audio Input or the MUTE buttons on the headset or USB device)
• "NO SOUND"   Do you have XP, Service Pack 3?

The CORRECT Read and Write Permissions (Page 2) will solve the following issues:

• When I try to open the Exam Screen, I get a “operation must use updated query” message.
• When I try to open the Exam Screen, I get a "subscript our of range" message.
• Run Error 9
