VERY IMPORTANT:

PerioPal is dependent upon continuous, clean sound input.  Budget computer systems often have a noisy power supply resulting in very poor speech recognition performance and/or the failure of the USB sound device.

Just because "all my other programs work," do not assume that low-grade hardware components will yield continuous clean sound input required for optimal recording success with PerioPal.

We cannot stress enough the importance of a very quiet, high-quality system for speech recognition accuracy!
