Integration with Dental Systems
PerioPal has an open bridge policy and will work with dental systems that integrate with third party software applications. PerioPal’s integration has three options:
- Share Bridge Code
- PerioPal Datagrabber Bridge
- Integration Partners
OPTION 1: Share Bridge Code
Six lines of code enables developers to bridge PerioPal to the dental system. Here's the full code - the dental system engineers will add the command structure to the dental system to launch PerioPal.

PerioPal offers a cost effective integration package that reduces the complexity, costs. risks and maintenance associated with in-house development by providing a rapid and versatile integration tool to most dental systems. DataGrabber is a Windows system application that bridges patient data from the dental system to PerioPal.

Only one bridge is required for a single office network.
Your practice may already use DataGrabber for other applications. If you do, then you will not need to purchase a separate PerioPal version. A certified engineer can assist in adding a PerioPal link using your existing DataGrabber.
OPTION 3: Integration Partners
PerioPal will work with systems to pass the exam data from PerioPal to the practice management system by providing programmers a function in source code that will read a PerioPal exam record from an Access database.
When configured in this manner, PerioPal is essentially a “Vocal Mouse” allowing the data to be collected with PerioPal’s voice entry and then passed to the dental system’s charts, reports, and database.
